Garden II

The garden got another tilling. According to Dave it still needs another one, but I'm not counting on it. Two is fine. Now it is time to buy the plants and get ready to seed. :)

Garden

The garden is tilled. Guess it needs another tilling, but we'll see if it gets it or not. Either way I can plant when ready. Now I have to wait for the snow to be off Silver Star. :)

Dave Update

Dave doesn't have a herniated disc. He does have a bulge which isn't great either, but means no surgery. He has physical therapy and exercises to do. Just takes time to heal.

Never Boring

So Dave has hurt his back. He came home from Olympia barely able to walk. Went to the chiropractor. It helped a bit. Went the next day and it helped a bit, but she commented on not doing yard work. Yup he came home and mowed the yard. Then it got much worse. Went to the chiropractor again. Didn't help and he was told if it didn't settle soon, it was time for an MRI. He got that done on Tuesday. Waiting to hear the results. The chiropractor thinks it may be a herniated disc.
That said....the ground is ready to till. Naturally. I don't know how to work the tractor/tiller., although I could probably figure it out with supervision....just don't want to. So I figured I would have to hire it done. Got an estimate of $200-250. That seems like a lot for a 20 by 35 foot space. Anyway one of my neighbors came over yesterday to loan Dave his electric thing for pain and informed me that he was tilling my garden on Friday because Dave can't do it. Well then.....
Yeehaw as Mom's day is coming and that is when I like to plant and seed the garden. :)

Work

As a receiving clerk I get to count things. One of the things I count is production printing. Usually that is the course packs for the various classes. Normally the course packs come in spread out over a several week period. This quarter we had a whole bunch of them come in in two days. So I counted all of them and then priced all of them and got them ready to go out on the shelves. It felt like that was all I did in that two day period. Here is a picture of me with all the production printing waiting to go out.

Idiots

I try and not call other drivers names. That said I was on the freeway going 70 MPH as is the speed limit. I got not one, but two tailgaters on me. And not just following a little too close. They were as close to me as if we were stopped at a light. Then on my return trip I was in the section that is 60 MPH and I got another one. And he could have gone around me as no one was in the fast lane. I'm sorry if my going the speed limit is annoying. Your tailgating me is not going to make me go faster. Idiots.

Poor Mom

So my mother has waited her whole adult life to be called for jury duty. I have been called for local, county and federal. She never got called. That is until last week when she finally got her summons. She filled out the questionnaire and crossed her fingers. Nope, they don't want her with her bit of dementia. She wasn't really surprised, but she said she was a little pissed off since she waited all that time. Poor Mom.

Amusings

So while I am doing backpack checking or security I find ways to amuse myself. Lots of people watching going on. I find Myk's friend Will to be completely amusing. He is such a player and seems to get along with everyone. He even hangs out with older women. I get to see people I don't always see. This week I got to see Chris who is the husband of one of my friends. He is retired so decided to go back to school. Good for him. I met a German Shepherd today named Lewis who is an attendant dog in training. He got in trouble for smelling me. And then to top it off I was greatly amused today by Amanda. She came to work after class. I asked her about her next class and she said she thought she was working until her mom got off. I said something about on Monday she had an afternoon class. She was like oh yeah she has Spanish two days a week and really needs to find out what the second day is. I grab a catalog and she is surprised to learn that her class is three days a week and starts at noon. This was at twenty after twelve. So she rushes off and I think it is strange that her class on Monday wasn't at noon. Pretty soon she comes back. Her class is at 2 p.m. She was definitely being a little blond today.

Spring Rush

Well it is here again. Backpack checking and security. Since my wrist is acting up a bit I am security for sure. Wasn't quite as busy yesterday as I would have expected it to be. Very strange since enrollment is high. Anyway I saw many people doing weird things with their picture ID's. Props and faces and whatnot. Most people seemed friendly and less stressed than normal. Got to be a good thing.

Tears

Had another eye doctor appointment today. I got the third of my three injections. They told me that each time would be different and they were right. The numbing shot didn't bother me this time. But I couldn't see after the iodine wash for quite awhile. The whole ride home my eye just teared and teared. Felt so strange to have tears running down my cheek and not be crying.
The good news is my eye is much better. Now we watch it I guess and if it starts going bad again I get more shots. Yeehaw.
