Mowing Season
So the last week had some absolutely beautiful days. I intended to mow, but didn't get to it. Then I planned it for Tuesday as it wasn't suppose to rain. Well it did. Today turned out to be a non-rain day so I planned it again. Made a comment to Dave about mowing after my nap and he informed me that he needed to put the mower deck back on first. That means it was a good thing I didn't try to mow all those other days I intended. Dave did get the deck on and I mowed. I love the smell of fresh cut grass.

Bah.
I did not think it possible to have five people working on a pallet of books and not be able to keep one person busy putting books away. Bah!

Last Week
Last week had a couple of walks to the park with Tanya and the girls. So I thought I would upload a picture of Adrianna playing on the playground. She got so worn out those days. We'll have to do that a lot more when we have a real spring.
The Sunday before Tanya and I went to Club Zoo to see what is up with Pat deejaying. Club Zoo is one of Pat's favorite hangouts. He started deejaying about six weeks ago on Sunday nights. He doesn't get paid but gets a bartab. So the night we went we didn't have to pay for our pops. Pat plays some boppin music. I think he is hoping to work his way into a Friday/Saturday night gig as those are paid.

The Fog Might Be Lifting
We have had several days of really nice weather. Been walking to the park with Tanya and the girls to watch Adrianna play on the playground. Been taking some Audrie Nana time also. These little spirits remind me of all that is good. I am feeling better. So maybe the fog is finally lifting. Maybe it helped to put it into words. Whatever it is I'll take it.

Okay Then
So I was going through the piles on my desk and came across the notice about renewing my driver's license. Hmmm, mine expired last week and I forgot. What to do. I was going to be completely annoyed with myself if I had to retake the tests. The notice had given me the option to renew online so I decided to see if it would still let me do that. Thankfully it did so now I am driving legally again.
It is just another pointer to how depressed I am right now. It is starting to get annoying though. Prior to this I at least got everything done that I had to get done. I may not feel like doing anything, but I still did what needed to be done. At least today was sunny and I enjoyed that for a few minutes. Unfortunately I am not in a seasonal funk so the sun doesn't help with the depression.

Elizabeth is Eleven Years-old
Elizabeth had her birthday while I was in Illinois. So we had to postpone family dinner. So last night was family dinner. We had 'pizza and chocolate ice cream cake. I choose the pizza because I just didn't feel like cooking. She choose the cake. We gave her a vest and she was happy. Got some buttons with funny sayings for her to put on it. It was a good night.

Jacob's Mustache Challenge.
I don't know how he found this, but Jacob decided he wanted to do this. All for a good cause also.

I have actually been on the donorschoose sight before when I have been looking for places to donate money. I really like the idea of it as you know exactly where your money went.

Illinois
Pat, Frank, and Patty.
Pat and I headed to Illinois last Thursday. At the airport I was behind a young man who had never been through security before. He hadn't emptied his pockets so needed to do so. He just put all the items right on the conveyor belt. ON the other side I helped him get his phone which got stuck. Most of his money didn't come through. But then when I picked up my totes I found a five and a ten that I gave back to him.

On the plane I saw the most beautiful laptop. It must have been a Mac because it was candy apple red. Glowed in the sunlight. We had the best pilot ever on that flight. Didn't even feel the landing. We were just on the ground. Came out of the airport to 11 degrees. A tad cold. Good thing I brought my scarf and gloves.
We had the nicest visit with Wayne and Helga. Helga had to work so Wayne chauffeured us around. We went out for breakfast a couple of times and shopping at Walmart. Helga works at Walmart. She said two years of retirement was enough. We went over and visited Vern and Dorothy and looked at pictures. Paula and I compared family trees. She made copies of what she didn't have. We had dinner Saturday night with Wayne, Helga and all the cousins except Patty. She had come over the night before and had dinner with us so we saw everyone on this trip.
We caught the bus back to the airport Sunday morning and came on home. It was a lovely weekend.
