I am always amazed at the growth of the littles. I don't notice it as it happens. It just kind of hits me up along side the head at some later time. We still misbehave, we are still naughty, he is still sneaky, she still throws temper tantrums. But we don't do those things as often. We can go to the grocery store now and not have a meltdown. She has learned how to remove herself from a situation until she calms herself. They both do the deep breath thing that helps calm them.
I am really thankful for some of this because we lost our local babysitter. She went to Alaska at least for the summer. That means taking them with to the store and all the other errands I have to do. I still use Elizabeth for important things but I'm leaning towards not using her so much. And she is looking for a paycheck job which means she won't be available anyway. That works out well.
I listen to their play and they are getting so much more imaginative. She is in a mama place. Pretends she has a baby in her tummy. He plays with the big boys and their swords and nerf guns. I find it interesting how he didn't have to invent the wheel so his imagination came so much earlier than hers. It may be that smarter thing.
And while they are growing there are still times they just want cuddles from Nana and it warms my heart.
