The roof is shingled. Most of the problems were taken care of. The last problems will wait for a couple of dry days. No one wants to get on a wet roof.
The guys worked till dark and finished using the spotlight off the boat. The rain is scheduled to hit some time in the night tonight. Amazing how quick it goes with someone who truly knows what they are doing. I don't doubt that the other guys had some clues, but they weren't roofers so the clues they knew were from contractors who just made do on jobs. And when it comes down to it...that ain't the way to do it. A roof is a big investment and a major part of a house.
With much frustration and learning the job got done. Pat figures he still came in under $6k from his original bid and that bid did not include the repairs that ended up being necessary like the whole awning top. It's good to have friends.
Now we just have to finish the clean up. Two trailers need to go to the dump and lots and lots of rolling the magnet over the yard.
