One of the kids asked Josh, from upstairs, what he did. He answered he was an addiction counselor. I laughed and said....oh is that why you talk to me.....he gave me a look. I responded that I'm not an addict, but I certainly am co-dependent. It was his turn to laugh as he said yeah but he didn't want to tell me that. After all he is my neighbor, not my counselor.
That led to me commenting on him being a great listener, but not an open person. So he explained about learning to keep quiet with addicts so they can't use personal information to manipulate. My whole response to that is that is part of addiction....manipulation.
Then we talked about Cassie. Just a reminder to be wary.
