Trying to make decisions. I went and saw two mobiles yesterday. The agent was great. Here is the link to her page on Facebook. In my year of looking I have dealt with four agents. The first one would not take me to view a property because he didn't feel like I had my financing in order. My brother got mad and contacted his office only to be told they never take people out that they haven't done a background check on. Too much crime. Wait...what??? That agent still sends me emails and calls. I don't know why.
The next agent for some reason couldn't be bothered. One of my high school classmates went into realty. She has done well and has an office. So I contacted her and asked not for her, but one of her other agents who deal on a smaller scale. Remember I'm looking at mobile homes and condos at that point. Someone from her office got ahold of me and we made a plan to meet at a condo. On that day an offer was accepted, so we didn't. I commented on wanting to see two more condos in the same general area. She wanted the addresses and would get back to me. She didn't. I contacted her and she apologized saying she was sick. I added a mobile on my list and explained my financing plan. This is back around July 4. Holiday puts everything on hold. I never heard from her again. And at this point I'm just done.
This cute little mobile was on zillow and I contacted the listing agent to see it. That was my mistake. She told me a couple of things that needed to be replaced according to the owner of that park. Then she told me I could get a complete list from the park owner. Which I then did. Ha. As soon as the park owner said siding...I was done. Siding, skirting, windows, belly wrap stuff, decks, water heater installation, dishwasher installation, a bathroom in the process of being remodeled, repiping, etc.
Took my viewing to a FSBO and found a great mobile. Lost it because I will not do a bidding war on a mobile. Just about done. Completely. Stuck.
Went to an open house on a mobile that was really just a tad out of my price range. It was beautiful. An offer was put on it close to asking and I'm still not having a bidding war. However that is where I met Samm. And when I contacted her to see the mobiles in BG she was right on it and there on time. She restores some of my faith in people in customer service.
The two mobiles I looked at had a little promise, but one still needed a lot of work and the other seemed a little high in price considering how old it was and the remodel that it had....there was flooring on the counters. So I am still working towards newness.
