This morning I see a little link on hotels.com about the coronavirus. Seems they were going to allow people to cancel, with refund, or change their reservations. Emails to come soon but you have to do it at least 24 hours in advance. Well doesn't that just suck? Since my reservation is for today.
Jodi ended up catching a cold so she opted to stay home. Perfectly fine with me.
I drove to Astoria and checked in at the hotel. Every one was so friendly. Took a nap and then drove down to Seaside for a few. Maybe a walk on the beach. That didn't happen. My knees are still complaining. I bought a hoodie and then sat on a bench just taking it all in for awhile. It wasn't terribly crowded. There wasn't anything to do as most shops were closed. Restaurants were closed. That was all fine with me as I just wanted to soak up some ocean vibes and recharge.
Headed back to the hotel with some Taco Bell. Holed up in my room with the window open so I could listen to the water and the seagulls. Watched several "Dirty Jobs" on TV and relaxed. I had a nice view out my window. Practiced my social distancing by staying in.
