It was lost for a time. I don't know where it was or when it returned. But this is my dad's song book. It is filled with the lyrics to a lot of songs that he liked to sing. My dad played guitar for fun and sang. I can remember many many times when he would get out the guitar and we would sing. My song is not in the song book. I guess we just knew it by heart. It was "Poor Folks" by Bill Anderson.
I posted these pictures on facebook and lo and behold Myrt told us that she typed up a lot of those songs for the song book. She, too, liked to sing. Myrt was our old neighbor in Minnesota. We reconnected on facebook and boy am I glad that we did. The only way to know things now from the past is from others.
I found out that many people had memories of this book. And that makes my heart happy.
