I've noticed that some books take a long time to read. The difference must be in the substance. I can rip through a Harlen Coben book in three days, but it takes me three weeks to read a John Irving book. Kind of like the difference between cheesecake and angelfood cake. Don't get me wrong. I am not knocking quick reads. I love them. And I have a whole stack of them to work through and return to Betty. But every once in awhile I have to throw in a book with substance.
I've also noticed that I have been including more non-fiction into the mix. Not a bad thing at all.
