Picnic at the Zoo

It was a lovely day and we decided that the clouds may have kept the crowds away, so we went to the Oregon Zoo and had a picnic.  We left after naps, taking our dinner with us.  We strolled around and looked at some of the animals.  The cougars were awake and that was cool.  We guessed right and there were no crowds.  Either that or it was the time we were there.  But it was great.  We had our picnic in the concert area.  Audrie chased birds and kids.  We saw an elephant and some monkeys.  On the way out we heard the wolves howl and that was cool.  Stopped at the gift store and got Audrie and Nana a t-shirt.
It is so nice to be able to go and not feel rushed.  We looked at what we wanted to look at and will save the rest for another day.  The little man fell asleep before he even made it to the parking lot.  It was a great outing.
