Tourists

Since the kids enjoyed the fish hatchery the other day I thought we would make a trek up to Bonneville Dam and see some bigger fish.  On the way we stopped at North Bonneville and played at the playground.  The kids played with other kids and I watched some people straightening out fishing nets.  From there we hit the dam.  We saw some pretty good sized fish going up the fish ladders.  We checked out the generators for our electricity.  I'm pretty sure the littles didn't have a clue.
After that we crossed the river via the Bridge of the Gods.  I hate that bridge.  Even more than the Astoria bridge.  We had ice cream in Cascade Locks.  Went down to see if any boats were using the locks.  Nope.  So then we headed to the Bonneville Hatchery and saw the sturgeon.  Now those are some big fish.
After that we headed back home.  Briefly stopped at Multnomah Falls so Connor could see the waterfall.
It was a great day for the drive and the kids enjoyed it.
