A Splendid Day

Our adventurous day began with Grammy in Portland riding the aerial tram.  It took us up to OSHU and gave us a grand view of the city.  I would love to do it again at night to see the lights from there.
Then we had a late lunch at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse.  We had the absolute best waitress in a long long time.  She brought the kids' food out before ours was ready because she could tell they needed to eat.  She didn't waste any time when we needed to go.  I had commented about the need to go before they got worked up.  She replied back that it could be worse?.....oh yes.  She said, "lucky you".  Yup, but I try to time it so we are leaving before they become too rambunctious.  Big kudos to Amy for being perceptive and helping to move us along.
Then we headed over to Papa's house.  We have decided to share the garden this year so we call it the community garden.  We got the peas, beans, cucumbers, tomatoes and half of the corn planted.  The littles helped as it is a good teaching tool.  We will reap what we sow.  And that is true in all things.
Came home, had dinner and baths and now they smell good.  Brought home a bouquet of lilacs from Papa's house and the kitchen smells a little bit like heaven.  It was a splendid day.
