We have had such great weather on our long string of days off. Today after getting Connor's hair cut we went over to Uncle Pat's house and then walked down to the park. We played on the playground and explored some of the stumps and trees.
When I was a kid this patch of land was not a park. It was just a small forest in the middle of a neighborhood. I was so scared of it. I would rather go the long way around rather than cut through it to get to the other side of the neighborhood. It seemed dangerous. And maybe it was. But now that it is made into a park there are trails all through it and the playground. It is much more open and inviting. Doesn't scare me in the least.
We are so enjoying the learning and exploring and playing of life.
