Betty sent us an email about taking a tour of the rose float in construction. I thought the littles might get a kick out of seeing it before it is really a float. So I set it up with Rich, the education of the rose float guy. Took the kids and he showed us around. Showed us where the driver and co-pilot sits. Explained where the princesses stand and how they are strapped in in case of sudden stops. He told us what the various materials were that were used thus far in the construction. It is an eleven month project every year. He has been doing it a long time. It was very interesting. It will be interesting to see the finished project and if the littles will recognize that that is what we saw three weeks earlier.
