Spent the morning tearing down camp, packing up and coming home. It was a great camp out. The kids really really liked it. They want to go some more. And so we shall.
My thoughts;
Dave would be proud of me. I managed to start the campfire yesterday morning without tons of paper. And I cooked breakfast. Not over the campfire like him, but I still cooked at camping.
My car holds a lot of stuff and that makes me happy. We still didn't take the tent, but if we would have had to we could have fit it in somehow. I'm becoming less packing challenged.
I need a camp stove of my own. I also think I should get a smaller tent for when it is just the three of us using it. Easier to set up (although the big one is NOT hard at all), and easier to haul in a car.
All that fresh air and running around was super good for the kids. So was the experience of being able to go go go without Nana looking over their shoulder every minute. I noticed the bigger kids helped a lot on keeping an eye on the littler ones. I was impressed with the people at the island.
I'm looking forward to our next camping outing.
