Lots of Lilacs
Since lilac is one of my favorite scents, it is amazing that I have never been to Hulda Klager's Lilac Garden. So today the littles and I headed out to Woodland and visited the lilac garden. And it was beautiful. It was worth the drive and the $3 entrance fee. Once.
We smelled many different kinds of lilacs. The little woman swore one smelled liked popcorn. It didn't smell like lilac to me but I don't know if I would say popcorn. It was interesting. We all liked the variegated ones best with those dark dark purple ones coming in close behind. The dark purple ones had the strongest scent.
We got snacks from the Woodland Boy Scout troop. They sat and ate while I perused the gift store. Didn't find anything I had to have. ;p
After all the looking and the smelling, then the bug hunting began. Sometimes I am amazed at what interests them at any given moment.
