OMFG

So go back to the news that Doug had FINALLY decided to put the kids' stuff outside.  Mike and I went up and looked at the pile.  I opened the cedar chest to see what was in it and was happy that Connor's new tonka truck (that he never got to play with) was inside.  Then I had made arrangements for Pat and Mike to pick the stuff up the next day.
And they did and they put everything in the garage.  There was no room for the stuff so it has sat all this time.  Until now.  So the littles and I decided that for now we would put the cedar chest in the living room and leave it as a toy box to collect toys played with in the living room.  But we can't get in it.  Wait....what?  Yeah the chest is locked. And it takes a key to lock it and unlock it.
I texted my brother to ask if he or Mike had locked it when they picked it up.  If they had then he might know where the key is.  Nope, they didn't lock it.  They just loaded it up and unloaded it.  So between the time I looked at it and the time they collected it, someone locked it.  Someone who had the key that had to have been in Dave's house.
The maturity level of some people is astounding and impressive.  I would think at 40 people would be beyond the childish games but I guess not.
My solution will probably be to break the lock if I can't find another key around that will work.  Or I will shatter the chest, but that seems a waste since Papa had redone it for the kids.  I noticed when we were up there looking that someone had already broken part of it so it doesn't sit straight.
