Carpets

The little man headed to the neighbors.  And then the little woman headed to the neighbors. Yesterday I had gotten most of the stuff picked up and the floor vacuumed in my bedroom.  Today was clean the carpet day.  And that carpet is so trashed.  It is original from when the house was built. 
When I was done it looked better....still trashed and needing replacement...but better.  Smells better.  Pulled a lot of dirt out of it so I know I did some good. 
From there I moved into the living room.  Did a better pickup and vacuum and then proceeded to do that room also.  Actually did it three times.  Two with cleaner and then with vinegar.  If you can get the majority of the soap out it looks better longer.  Let me rephrase that.  It looks better longer if you don't have smaller kids.  First thing the little woman did was spill Rice Krispies on it.  Honestly though it does look better and a lot of dirt came out of it also.  Sad that the carpet Mom had put in is deteriorating.  But then when I think about how old it is....about fifteen years already.  Maybe it is not so sad.
