The Ft. Wayne Children's Zoo opened this week to the public with limited hours. So we took the hour and a half drive to Ft. Wayne. We explored most of the zoo. All the kids got to go on the lift ride and the boat ride. They were so excited that they could see the buffalo from the lift and kangaroos from the boat. They got to feed the giraffes lettuce and enjoyed that.
It was a hot day and we walked a lot. So while everyone did mostly all right, you could tell it was time to go when it was time to go.
Best animal in my opinion was the clouded leopard. It was so nice that the zoo was very quiet. They opened this week but they didn't have a lot of people there. That made it nice so we didn't feel the need to corral the littlest boy all the time. And he kept his mommy and daddy running. Nice to see them interacting as a family.
