Dutiful grandma strikes again. Four kids on a single paycheck household is hard. But it is amazing at how well Cassie and David are handling it. They have a roof over their head, the lights are on, the frigs are full and the closets have clothes to last the kids awhile. There are programs in this area that Cassie is able to utilize for help.
And then this week I bought all the kids news shoes. I picked up backpacks for the biggest two, socks for the school aged ones, shorts, shirts and snacks. I had brought all the big kids stuff with me and that created a little animosity as there was not enough to go around. So I picked up scooters for the youngest three. The oldest got a replacement doll for the one that got lost in transit. It is not a lot, but it is a great help to Cassie and David.
When I was a kid my grandma helped my mom with those things that are not necessarily extra but needed. And now I am doing that for my grandkids. And it is fun.
