Today we planted the tree to memorialize Papa. It was family dinner night and we invited the rest of the family over for the planting and eating pizza. Every one showed and the tree was planted. The bottom picture is to show what the leaves look like on this Flaming Peacock Japanese Maple tree.
Papa was a big part of our grandfamily. He and I started down this path of parenting our grandchild and then parenting two grandchildren. Life being life threw me a curve ball which left me holding the bag so to speak. We take it one day at a time.
We loved Papa and we miss him deeply. We have broken hearts that will someday mend but will never be the same. We talk about him and hold him in our hearts. And now we have a Papa tree. We would much rather have Papa, but it is what it is.
