Papa's raspberries just aren't going to be big producers this year. That is what happens when they miss their fall clipping and their spring care. So when Marti invited us over to pick hers we jumped at the chance.
The little man helped me pick. And then both kids went and played with Marti's nephew. Afterwards Alan added to the snacks that his sister had brought. So the littles tried peanuts in shells and my little man liked them. Alan had smoked some shad he had caught and then canned it. It was delicious. He opened up some canned peaches and pears from last year. Afterwards he gifted us a few jars. Yum. Made me kind of nostalgic for the days when I did all that stuff.
We are going back next weekend for another picking. Thanks Marti for letting us have the opportunity to do so.
