We got up early and found Mike. We had missed him at the library because he didn't expect us until later at Safeway. And that is where we found him. We had time before he could check in at DOC to find out about trip permit and/or bed date. So we drove over to Shari's for breakfast,. We cross a bridge on the way and there were two deer running across it. They got really spooked and jumped. Mike thinks they probably died. I'm not so sure. I think they hit the edge of the embankment. Hope so anyway. We also did a little Walmart shopping. Connor needed new black shoes and Audrie got a couple more tank tops for summer.
Mike got a trip permit to come home for awhile. That made all of us happy. Before the long drive back we decided to spend a little time at a playground. The littles needed to burn off some energy before we cooped up in the car.
It was a lovely morning.
