We took a night and went to Seaside. We stayed at the Hi-Tides Motel. The kids played on the beach and just had a blast. I was the only one who got wet from the waves. I thought I was far enough up on the beach to not have to worry about it. I had turned around to watch Audrie come down the beach. Connor ran by me saying 'run', but I didn't catch it until the water was half way up my calves. Grammy never made it to the beach. She always opted to take advantage of the quiet in the hotel room when we were at the beach.
We drove down the Cannon Beach to get donuts and a glass switch plate cover. And then we returned home to routine. It was a really nice outing and a lovely break in our routine. And we noticed that Dave was looking out for us again by sending us the most beautiful weather for our outing.
