Picking up the kids and they always get called.  Usually they are told either it is time to go or that Grandma is here to pick them up.  Well Connor got told that about the grandma and he said 'Mom". So she asked him what he wanted her to call me and he again said "Mom".  It warms my heart and breaks it at the same time.  We have a very special relationship and always will.
