Conferences

Well both conferences went about the way I expected.  The little man has impressed his teacher.  He has a math brain and has more than shown it to her.  He is able to explain how he deduces things.  Something the rest of the class may be doing at the end of kindergarten.  And he is going to be a top reader also.  He is very competitive.  He is a great helper and is helping her teach the class even if he isn't aware of it.
The little woman is of course a great artist still.   Maybe a tad too much.  She tends to draw when she doesn't want to do other work.  She has great story telling abilities (gets that from me) and we need to work on getting those stories from her head and mouth into her hand and on paper.  She has already came a long ways on it, but we will keep moving forward.  Math is not her strong suit some days and some days she does fine.  Funny girl.
I have lots of paperwork for help at home for them.  Reading, math, writing.  At least we aren't dissecting any frogs.  Although the littles already kind of did that and she told a story about it.
