Field Trip

It was the little man's first field trip with school.  He has been waiting and waiting.  So off to Casee Center we went to the pumpkin patch.  The little man is the only one wearing shorts.  I did hear other parents talking about it.  If he isn't cold, I'm all right with it.  And I had a pair of pants in my bag just in case.  He never needed them. 
When we got there we got split into two groups.  We went to the petting barn first and the education barn.  We identified leaves, counted beans, looked at stuff through magnifying glasses and guessed fruits and vegetables.  The kids tried to pet some sheep, but the sheep weren't having much to do with it.  And they were wet anyway. 
Then we went to the pumpkin patch.  Funniest patch I've ever seen.  Someone had hid a bunch of pumpkins in the woods just off the trail.  All the kids were happy to find a pumpkin.  Then they received a snack of apple slices.  I saw the little man go back a couple of times.  He must have enjoyed them.
Once back to the school it was time for lunch.  Since I was there, I again had lunch with each kid.  The little man was so excited that they had chicken burgers today.  He really likes them.  I think they taste like a big chicken nugget.
